Pep Guardiola’s men are the current FA Cup holders having completed a domestic clean sweep last campaign, and we kick off our quest to retain the famous old trophy with the visit of Port Vale.
The sunny weather was mirrored by the atmosphere at the CFA, with the entire squad in buoyant mood ahead of our FA Cup curtain-raiser.
And although he won’t be available for a while longer, the return of Aymeric Laporte to the fold was a huge boost to the team.

The French defender joined in for the opening 15 minutes of the session as he edges closer to a return to action after a four-month injury lay-off.
The weather, the team’s form and Laporte’s gradual return all seem to have helped lift the already high spirits of the squad, as shown by the constant smiles and jokes throughout training.
Keep an eye out for Nicolas Otamendi’s silky hips during the warm-up, plus some fancy footwork from Phil Foden and Benjamin Mendy as well!
