The thrill of Tuesday night’s Manchester Derby performance had barely worn off and the players were back on the CFA lawns in preparation for Sunday’s game at Villa Park.
Our 3-1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford saw us deliver a fine display, particularly in the first half where we produced arguably our best 45 minutes of football this season.
The gulf in class was significant – but Pep Guardiola isn’t one to rest on his laurels, and the players were called into work early on Wednesday for training.
