The focus was very much on attack, with the players put through a series of drills designed to hone their ability to break the lines and beat the ‘keeper.

Yaya Toure and Aleksandar Kolarov embrace after the Ivorian’s late arrival on tour, and Ederson makes a couple of fine stops as he stakes a claim to become Pep Guardiola’s first-choice ‘keeper ahead of the new season.

And there’s plenty of opportunities for the younger players to showcase their talents, with Patrick Roberts and Daniel Grimshaw both impressing.
