Manchester City beat Tottenham 1-0 on Saturday as our Premier League title bid continued unabated.
And it was Phil Foden with the winner, heading home from inside the box after Sergio Aguero had squared it superbly.
It was Foden’s first ever Premier League goal, a significant milestone in this young man’s burgeoning career.
It was a magnificent moment for a boyhood City fan – and afterwards he said. “It still hasn’t fully sunk in” Foden admitted. “Kun did great to find me. Luckily I was on the line.
“I was happy to help the team and get the goal.
“(It’s my) first Premier League goal so it will live with me forever.
“We knew what they were about because we have played them twice already. It’s hard and we looked a bit leggy but we got the job done.”
