Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez, Phil Foden and Aymeric Laporte got the goals as Pep Guardiola’s side maintained our brilliant record in the competition.
Jesus headed home from Oleksandr Zinchenko’s pinpoint cross in the third minute to give City the perfect start in North London, though the home side levelled against the run of play before the break when Alexandre Lacazette nodded in Gabriel Martinelli’s centre.
Mahrez restored City’s lead nine minutes into the second period with a free-kick that squirmed through Runar Runarsson’s grasp and our position was enhanced on the hour mark when Foden dinked over the Arsenal goalkeeper after being sent clear by Fernandinho.
The Academy graduate then turned provider, whipping an inviting ball into the area which Laporte headed home to complete a dominant display.
