Despite goals from Nico O’Reilly and Jack Grealish, City were edged out on penalties by Barcelona in our latest friendly in Orlando, Florida.
The Spanish side grabbed the lead midway through the first half through Pau Victor, but Pep Guardiola‘s men responded before the break when O’Reilly fired into the far corner after his intelligent run was spotted by Josko Gvardiol.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CITY’S USA TOUR
Barcelona would regain the lead on the stroke of half-time, but City once again bounced back, this time when Jack Grealish was fed by Mateo Kovacic and rifled home an unstoppable drive past Ander Astralaga.
Both sides went close to grabbing a late winner in front of a sell-out crowd at the Camping World Stadium, but it would ultimately be decided by a penalty shootout, with Barcelona coming out on top.
