Iliman Ndiaye and Enzo Fernández made their City debuts as we made three wins out of three with a 1-0 win over Coventry City.

The duo were our final two signings of the transfer window and went into the starting line-up to face the newly-promoted Sky Blues on their first-ever visit to the Etihad.

And it was Erling Haaland who once again did the damage, getting his third goal in three games to help maintain our 100% record.

His clever movement created space to powerfully head home Antoine Semenyo’s cross midway through the first half.

Rayan Cherki had earlier slammed the post while Haaland and Phil Foden also went close as we chased a second.

Coventry, who lost their opening two matches without scoring, carried plenty of threat and Gianluigi Donnarumma made a number of excellent saves to maintain a clean sheet and the three points.
