On what was a fine afternoon’s work from Pep Guardiola’s side, Erling Haaland once more led the way claiming a late brace of goals to round off our third league win of the season.
In the process, Haaland also entered the top 10 of all-time leading City goal scorers, with his tally standing at 133, and also saw him become the leading Norwegian Premier League goal scorer with Erling now on 93 league strikes for City.
A Maxime Esteve own goal had given the Blues a 12th minute lead only for Burnley to then draw level on 37 minutes through Jaidon Anthony.
City were not to be denied though and a wonderful Matheus Nunes volley on 61 minutes fired Guardiola’s side back ahead before another Esteve own goal four minutes later further extended our advantage.
Then it was Haaland’s turn to take centre stage, the big man scoring on 90 and 93 minutes to help put the seal on a fine victory.
