A devastating opening four minutes, in which Gareth Taylor‘s side found themselves two goals up thanks to Lauren Hemp and Ellen White, set City on their way to a convincing victory over La Viola at the Academy Stadium.
Hemp was on hand to head home the opener before the two-minute mark, before teeing up White moments later in a blistering display of attacking prowess.
And while City had a number of chances to add a third, it did not arrive until the 89th minute, when Sam Mewis headed home from Chloe Kelly‘s cutback to add further daylight between the sides.
