Watch how the drama of Manchester City’s memorable 2023/24 Barclays Women’s Super League term unfolded.

It was certainly a season to remember when the curtain fell on the season as we matched our highest-ever points tally, broke the league’s single-season winning record and won the Golden Boot and Golden Glove.

Gareth Taylor’s side had narrowly missed out on Champions League qualification the season before but there was plenty of optimism heading into the season following Jill Roord’s arrival in the summer.

The Blues opened the season with a strong 2-0 win over West Ham ahead of a heroic 1-1 draw with reigning champions Chelsea despite being reduced to nine players.

However, after back-to-back defeats threatened to derail our title charge before a statement 3-1 win over Manchester United showed what this side were made of.

That success over our cross-city rivals sparked a phenomenal 14-match winning league run which included a gutsy 1-0 win away at Chelsea – inflicting Emma Hayes’ side their first loss on home soil in over three years.

As a rollercoaster title race reached its climax, we ultimately missed out on the WSL crown on goal difference but City’s exciting talents certainly proved the future is bright for Taylor’s team.

Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, who became the Club’s record scorer in March during a memorable 3-1 win over Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium, ended the season with the WSL Golden Boot, while Keating’s 10 clean sheets earned her the Golden Glove award.
