Two goals in as many minutes from Sergio Aguero and Ferran Torres sealed the victory at Selhurst Park and moved Pep Guardiola’s side within one win of the Premier League title.

Aguero opened the scoring in the 57th minute with a thunderous half-volley after he was picked out by Benjamin Mendy’s low cross and, 83 seconds later, Torres curled City’s second in from the edge of the area.
It was a deserved victory for City, but there was a sense of relief when Aguero struck after Guardiola’s men had been frustrated in a first half in which Palace created several chances and the visitors saw a Gabriel Jesus goal ruled out for offside.
Three points against Chelsea next weekend would see City claim a third Premier League in four seasons, though that could be confirmed even earlier if Manchester United lose to Liverpool on Sunday.
