Following the March international break, Ben Wilkinson and our Elite Development Squad travelled to the Rams for our penultimate League Phase game.
Derby sat 27th heading into the game, three spots off the bottom of the table, compared to City who sat third, six points off the summit.
City have been on an impressive run of form, winning our previous seven PL2 games.
But waiting for us at the home of Matlock Town on Friday evening was a Derby side who have found impressive form on home soil in recent weeks, winning their previous two games against West Ham and Middlesbrough.
