Gareth Taylor’s side’s fourth round meeting with the Championship outfit represented our first assignment of the new calendar as we aimed to win the trophy for the fourth time.
Heading into the tie, we had won our last three successive matches (all in the Barclays Women’s Super League) which further cemented our place in an exciting title race.
However, it wouldn’t be an easy task against Claire Ditchburn’s team who won their final match of 2023 and moved to six points off top spot in the second tier.
