Relive our emphatic 4-1 win on Merseyside in the Barclays Women's Super League from a unique angle.

A Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw hat-trick and clinical Jill Roord strike saw us end 2023 on a high at Walton Hall Park.

Shaw, who had seen an earlier penalty saved, opened the scoring with an impressive lob over Everton stopper Courtney Brosnan, before finding the bottom corner with a clinical strike to double the advantage soon after.

Roord then finished off an excellent passing move when she poked home Chloe Kelly‘s cutback to put City out of sight before half-time.

The hosts pulled a goal back with a stunning strike from Aurora Galli, but Gareth Taylor‘s side responded soon after when Shaw headed home Alex Greenwood‘s free-kick to complete the scoring.

And with both Arsenal and Manchester United dropping points over the weekend, City took full advantage to move up to second in the table and within touching distance of league leaders, Chelsea.
