The youngsters had led when Sam Edozie’s deflected drive wrong footed Toffees goalkeeper Harry Tyrer, but were pegged back by Ellis Simms, who pounced to tap home a loose ball after James Trafford was unable to claim Rhys Hughes’ hopeful cross.
