Heading into the match we had won all 13 of our Premier League games against Bournemouth, the longest 100% record in the division’s history.
We had also never lost against the Cherries in any league fixture in either Club’s history, with 17 wins and two draws.
After three straight home matches, this represented our first away game in the Premier League since a 3-1 win at Brentford to kick off February. That victory over the Bees was our fourth successive victory on the road.
This match is the reverse of City’s 6-1 win at the Etihad in November when Jeremy Doku scored and assisted another four.
