The Blues came into the game on four points from our first two games after a 3-3 draw away at Palace in our opening match before a 3-2 victory over Chelsea at home last time out.
As well as drawing with us in their opening game, the Eagles, also defeated our opponents today, Sheffield United, 3-1 to also put them on four points.
We were met with another exciting game in the competition against the Blades with everything to play for who as we looked to advance to the next stage of the competition.
