Antonio Conte’s side, meanwhile, sit at the top of Serie A having won each of their three top-flight matches so far while conceding just one goal.
It was set to be an emotional evening too with the return of Club legend Kevin De Bruyne who joined Napoli in the summer after 10 glorious years at City.
