It was matchday two in this season’s competition and we headed out on the road for the first time in Europe.
Ligue 1 side Monaco were the opponents as we returned to the principality for the first time in eight years.
Pep Guardiola’s side have made a good start in Europe, winning our opening game against Italian champions Napoli 2-0 at the Etihad.
And we went into the game on the back of four wins in our previous five matches, including a 5-1 victory over Burnley last time out.
