In a thrilling encounter at Leigh Sports Village, City stormed into a 2-0 first-half lead thanks to superb goals from Chloe Kelly and Laura Coombs.
The hosts, however, hit back after the break and drew level thanks to efforts from Tobin Heath and Kirsty Hanson.
