Our latest away fixture saw Gareth Taylor‘s side travel to the East Midlands to take on Willie Kirk’s Leicester City.
In typical City style, the squad were able to capitalise on heavy spells of possession early in the match, with Chloe Kelly‘s driven shot too difficult to stop, giving City the lead inside 10 minutes.
Despite our best efforts to extend our lead, City were unable to find the back of the next for the remainder of the game but showed positive signs of attacking play as well as some strong defending in a handful of moments in which Leicester looked to equalise.
The victory extends our league unbeaten run to four and ensures we’re at the summit of the Barclays Women’s Super League table.
