Pep Guardiola‘s men were beaten 4-3 by Celtic at the Kenan Memorial Stadium.
The Scottish champions took an early lead through Nicolas Kuhn, with the German restoring their advantage once again soon after Oscar Bobb had finished off a fine team move.
Kyogo Furuhashi added a third before the break, but City rallied in the second half and drew level through goals from Maximo Perrone and Erling Haaland.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT CITY’S USA TOUR
Celtic’s advanced pre-season sharpness eventually told, with substitue Luis Palma grabbing the winner when he tapped home on the counter attack.
But with Guardiola handing several youngsters their senior debuts and Bobb in particular shining in Chapel Hill, there were plenty of positives to take from the performance as we prepare to face AC Milan in New York this weekend.
