Gareth Taylor’s side welcomed the Reds to the Joie Stadium aiming to extend our winning streak in all competitions to three matches.
In each of our two previous outings, a 2-1 win over Arsenal booked our place in the Subway Women’s League Cup final before a 3-1 triumph over Leicester secured passage into the FA Cup quarter-final.
But we would need to be at our very best to further our streak without loss against a Liverpool side who had won each of their last three outings.
In our last meeting with Matt Beard’s side, Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw scored a 92nd-minute winner as we came from a goal down to win 2-1 at Anfield.
