Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Kevin De Bruyne (2), Riyad Mahrez, John Stones and Nathan Ake all scored, as we moved four points clear at the top of the table.
Foden’s strike to open the scoring was our 500th Premier League goal since Pep Guardiola took charge in the summer of 2016. It’s a remarkable record, with the 500 goals coming in just 207 matches – an average of 2.4 goals per game.
He is the quickest manager to reach 500 in the competition’s history. Jurgen Klopp, who sits second on the list, took charge of 234 Premier League matches before his Liverpool side made it to 500, with Alex Ferguson in third having seen his Manchester United side strike 500 times in his opening 265 games.
After the game we heard from De Bruyne and Guardiola – and joining us in the Matchday Live studio were Shaun Goater and Shaun wright Phillips.
