The midfielder fired home from inside the area after being picked out by Raheem Sterling’s cutback, but the lead proved short lived as Semi Ajayi’s strike deflected off Dias and wrong-footed Ederson to level the score before half-time.
City created 26 chances as we pushed for a winner and, but for the heroics of West Brom goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, it would have arrived in a frantic final 10 minutes.
Johnstone made two brilliant saves to deny Gundogan and then Sterling as the visitors hung on to take a point off Pep Guardiola’s side.
