City turned on the style at the Academy Stadium to secure a convincing 5-1 victory against Everton.
Goals from Caroline Weir and Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw either side of a Grace Clinton equaliser put Gareth Taylor‘s side ahead at the break, before Lauren Hemp, Jess Park and Ellen White put the game out of sight in the final 15 minutes.
It was just rewards for a battling performance from City, who were made to work for all three points despite what the emphatic score suggests.
Weir’s opener was perhaps the pick of the bunch, as she slalomed her way through the challenges before confidently stroking home, but White was inches from converting an audacious 40-yard lob in the second half after a poor clearance from Everton stopper Courtney Brosnan.
