It was one of the most one-sided Manchester derbies in history.

November 6, 2021. City ran out 2-0 winners at Old Trafford, dominating the game from start to finish.

Eric Bailly’s own goal gave City an early lead and Bernardo Silva’s backpost tap-in, which brought a 26-pass move to a conclusion, doubled our advantage just before half time.

The second half was a masterclass in possession football as City toyed with United to see the game out comfortably and earn a vital three points.

“Huge and deserved credit - I have huge admiration and pride to these players,” said Pep Guardiola afterwards.

“The commitment and the fact is we played a really good game from beginning to the end.

“The best way to silence Old Trafford is to have the ball…have the ball and we did it.

“And we played a really good game except for ten minutes in the second half where we missed some ball.”
