The Stockport quintet’s vocalist Tom Ogden and drummer Joe Donovan both joined Club journalist George Kelsey and City legend Paul Dickov in Studio One to chat about their beloved Blues.
With their new studio album ‘Gary’, released on 20 September, Blossoms are hoping to top the UK album charts for a fourth time out of five following on from ‘Blossoms’ (2016), ‘Cool Like You’ (2018), ‘Foolish Loving Spaces’ (2020) and ‘Ribbon Around the Bomb’ (2022).
Memorable tracks include ‘Charlemagne’, ‘Honey Sweet’, ‘Your Girlfriend’, ‘If you think this is Real Life’ and ‘Care For’.
In this episode, they chat through their iconic moments following City and offer their thoughts on another famous resident of Stockport - Phil Foden.
The pair also talk about their gig at Wythenshawe Park in August 2024 and give their reaction to Oasis reforming, the influences the band had on them growing up and their friendship with Liam and Noel.
Tom and Joe also delve into chippy orders - which causes quite a debate with the hosts.
