Champions League winners City faced Europa League winners Sevilla with a chance of our fourth piece of silverware of the year.
It was a tight affair throughout with our opponents opening the scoring on 25 minutes with a powerful header from Youssef En-Nesyri.
City didn’t panic though and levelled after the break thanks to Player of the Match, Cole Palmer, who produced an equally impressive header after ghosting into the area to meet Rodrigo’s cross from the left on 63 minutes.
When the referee blew his whistle at full-time, the final went to penalties – and the sky blues were immaculate from the spot.
Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez, Mateo Kovacic, Jack Grealish and Kyle Walker all scored from 12 yards before Sevilla’s Nemanja Gudelj hit the bar to hand the trophy to the Treble winners.
It helped add another piece of silverware to Guardiola‘s impressive collection – now set at 15.
