We returned to the Joie Stadium for our first home assignment in this year’s competition.
In a league phase that almost mirrors the men’s competition but only comprises of six games rather than eight.
We’ll also play the likes of Napoli, AEK Athens and Barcelona at this stage but before then, it was all about facing the French Academy side.
In order to qualify for the knockout stage of the competition, Reiss and his team will need to place in the top 22 of the 36-team league.
The knockout stage includes a Round of 32, Round of 16, quarter-final, semi-final and final, with the team able to win all five games to be crowned the best Academy team in Europe.
After defeat at FC Porto already in this campaign, we would be looking to return to winning ways after the international break.
