Ben Wilkinson‘s youngsters travelled to the south coast hoping to make Under-18 Premier League history with a third successive National title having already finished as Northern champions.
Standing in our way were Premier League South champions Southampton and, cheered on by a lively crowd of over 13,000, victory for City was far from a foregone conclusion.
