Andrée Jeglertz’s double winners will travel to Florence on Saturday 8 August for a 19:00 (UK) friendly at Rocco B. Commisso Viola Park.
It represents the Blues’ first pre-season test after reporting back for duty after the summer break ahead of our defence of the Barclays Women’s Super League and FA Cup.
The 2026/27 WSL campaign begins with meeting with Birmingham on Sunday 6 September at the Joie Stadium, with City sharpening up in a series of pre-season friendlies over August before then.
Fiorentina are our first opponents, with the Italian side finishing fourth in Serie A in 2025/26.
Our broadcast of the friendly with CITY+ will begin shortly before kick-off with Mike Minay calling the action before a highlights package follows after full-time.
