After the two-week break for internationals, Pep Guardiola’s side were back with a tough game away at the London Stadium.
Both teams were unbeaten going into the game, although City were the only side in the top-flight with a 100% record from the opening four matches.
Guardiola returned to the touchline after missing the two previous matches following surgery.
However, John Stones, Jack Grealish and Mateo Kovacic were missing through injury but summer signings Josko Gvardiol and Jeremy Doku started with Matheus Nunes on the bench.
