Brian Barry-Murphy‘s side were looking to return to winning ways on Friday evening in the capital but left north London with a point following a thrilling 90 minutes of football.
Jaden Heskey opened up the scoring towards the end of the first half before Mahamadou Susoho extended City’s lead early into the second 45.
A brace from Amario Cozier-Duberry, however, gave Arsenal enough confidence to steal a third goal and take the lead for the first time in the match, courtesy of a Khayon Edwards strike.
City showed tenacity and determination in the closing stages of the match as Barry-Murphy’s squad refused to leave Meadow Park without a point.
Substitute Jacob Wright levelled the score with three minutes of regular time left to play after his stunning strike from 25 yards earned City a hard-fought point away from home.
