EDS lead coach Ben Wilkinson said there were myriad positives to glean from Friday’s superb 5-0 PL2 win over Chelsea.

Our Under-21s served up a wonderful all-round display at the Joie Stadium to make it 14 wins from 17 league games and stretch our lead at the top of the table to five points.

Divin Mubama led the way with a hat-trick – and had three other efforts disallowed for offside – with Matty Henderson-Hall and Ryan McAidoo also on target.

And reflecting on the win, Wilkinson hailed the way his young charges went about their work.

“I’m really pleased – I think we hit a good level with our quality on the ball and in terms of how many chances we created over the 90  minutes and recording another clean sheet,” the lead coach said.

“I thought our overall quality with and without the ball and the organisation meant we limited them really well.

“So, in terms of a team performance I think we hit a lot of good points tonight.”
