The City skipper truly led by example at the CFA, scoring two goals as well as also seamlessly adapting to a half -time tactical switch.
And in reflecting on what was a solid collective afternoon’s work by his squad, the head coach pointed to Muir’s adaptability and willingness to do whatever was required for the good of the team as serving as a shining example.
“Ashton’s taken his goals really well and at half time I asked him go from playing out wide to playing as a full back and coming inside,” Wilkinson said.
“Ash is a really good footballer with good footballing brain and understanding of how we want to play.
“He’s a very flexible player and I feel I can trust him to play anywhere, and he’ll go a great job for the team.
“He nearly scored a third late on but in terms of his performance it was really good.”
