Ben Wilkinson says he has lots of options to work as City continue our impressive start in the U18 Premier League.

Having won the national title in each of the last four seasons, we have started the new campaign with three wins from three.

The latest of those was a thumping 5-2 victory over Leeds United at the CFA on Saturday.

The goals were shared out in that game, with Matty Warhurst, Alfie Harrison, Seb Naylor, Ezra Carrington and Luca Fletcher all finding the back of the net.

While he says there’s still plenty to work on, Wilkinson insists the strength in depth will get the best out of his crop.

“It’s good, we’ve got lots of competition in the attacking areas,” he said.

“They all have different assets and bring different things to the team. The key for us is in the decision making, when to pass, when to score, when to run, when to drop.

“We’re starting to get better at that. It’s a long season so hopefully we can see more improvement.”
