Watch the best of the action from City's 5-0 win over Blackburn Rovers in the Under-18 Premier League North.

In our first league outing of 2026, City approached the game with confidence and desire to get on the front foot as quickly as possible.

And it meant it didn’t take us long to take the lead. Christian Dunbar-McDonald fired us ahead with what is quickly becoming a trademark finish for the 18-year-old. He unleashed a lethal right-footed shot from the left, which fizzed into the back of the Rovers net.

Xavier Parker doubled our lead with his first Under-18 Premier League North goal in his first start in the competition. The 15-year-old showed great composure to convert the penalty he won on 21 minutes.

MATCH REPORT | ROVERS 0-5 CITY

Just before the break, Floyd Samba made it three with a clinical free-kick from 25 yards out with Blackburn struggling to keep up with the intensity and standard City set.

Super substitute Dexter Oliver forced an error at the back by Rovers on 56 minutes. And it saw the versatile midfielder rewarded with his first goal in Blue, striking from close range before Parker completed the five-star performance with his second of the afternoon.

The triumph sees City move seven points clear at the top of the table, with two games in hand over second-place Manchester United.
