Manchester City secured their place in the knockout stages of the UEFA Youth League following a 3-3 draw with Borussia Dortmund in Germany.

Brian Barry-Murphy’s side needed just a point to progress to the next round of the competition, with second-place FC Copenhagen losing 2-1 to Sevilla in the earlier game in Group G.

City took a 3-1 lead in with them at the break with goals from Will Dickson, Nico O’Reilly and Adedire Mebude cancelling out Paris Brunner’s second minute header.

Two stunning second-half strikes from Goktan Gurpuz ensured that both sides walked away with a point on matchday five.
