Brian Barry-Murphy’s side and the young Bees met in the inaugural Robert Rowan Invitational to raise money for Heart of West London, an alliance of charities and organisations aiming to use the power of sport and a collective voice to change the game for cardiac health.
Both sides served up a highly entertaining spectacle at the Gtech Stadium in what was an action-packed clash with Brentford fighting back from 2-0 down to seal victory via a 92nd minute header.
Nico O’Reilly and Will Dickson were both on target to fire City into a commanding first half lead.
However, Brentford B hit back to score twice in two minutes to draw level at the break.
And in a dramatic finale in West London, a 92nd minute header from Tristan Crama saw the hosts claim a late, late winner.
