Aston Villa came out of the blocks and scored two early goals through Travis Patterson and Omari Kellyman.
Justin Oboavwoduo pulled a goal back from the EDS, but Villa skipper Tommi O’Reilly extended their lead once again.
Tai Sodje reduced the deficit to one goal once more, before Kellyman secured his brace for Villa at the other end.
Oboavwoduo gave City hope before the break, grabbing a couple of goals of his own.
And the hope was rewarded with an equaliser from Farid Alfa-Ruprecht late on.
“There was so much happening in the game, I don’t know where to start really,” the EDS boss said.
