Kane Taylor‘s fine 78th chip prompted hopes of a City fightback but Lowe then scored again for his second and Stoke’s third.
To compound matters City then went down to 10 men when Mahamadou Susoho was shown a second yellow card before Stoke struck twice more in injury time through Liam McCarron and a 96th minute Lowe penalty which sealed his hat-trick.
