City Under-18s forward Christian Dunbar-McDonald says the team want to keep winning games.

The 18-year-old has been a key figure in Oliver Reiss’ side this term, and on Saturday he once again proved to be an influential player in the opponent’s third.

Dunbar-McDonald teed up Dante Headley at the back post to help spark City’s 2-1 comeback win over Everton in the Under-18 Premier League North.

The triumph means City enter the winter break four points clear at the league summit with an impressive 10 wins and one loss. 

And reflecting on the game at full-time, he explained how he and the team want to keep winning games, and the support from the fans helps keep him motivated to perform at his best.

“It was a difficult game,” Dunbar-McDonald admitted.

“Not every game is going to be glitz and glamour but we stuck together and came out with a result so it was top.

“I just want to win games. So I’m happy that the fans are praising me. That helps give me positive motivation so each game I can then go and score.”
