City thought they found an early lead through Jaden Heskey but his goal was chalked off after he was deemed to be in an offside position when he was played through on goal on 12 minutes.
Despite dominating possession and attack after attack from Brian Barry-Murphy‘s side, City wouldn’t find the back of the net again until the 39th minute.
Kane Taylor volleyed home a looped ball to give City a deserved lead.

City had to be patient once again in the second half with West Brom continuing to prove difficult to break down.
It took a moment of magic from skipper Micah Hamilton who dispatched the ball beautifully after quick footwork opened up space for him to unleash a venomous strike and double City’s lead in the 74th minute.
The triumph means have moved above the visitors and into 20th as Barry-Murphy’s young blues look to carry our fine run of form into the final game of the campaign which sees us travel to Reading on Monday 29 April.
