Brilliant build-up play down the right by Farid Alfa-Ruprecht gave him space to whip the ball across the face of the goal and into the path of an on-running Justin Oboavwoduo who volleyed the ball home with ease.
The City striker doubled our lead late in the first half, slotting the ball into the bottom right corner after fancy footwork from Ryan McAidoo left a handful of Sparta Prague players trailing him.

The second half proved to be a much more frustrating affair with Sparta Prague fighting for a way back into the game. But City’s defensive solitude would later see us pick up a second successive clean sheet in the competition.

Instead, Oboavwoduo topped off a fantastic afternoon for himself as he scored a final goal, late in the second half, to complete his hat-trick and nullify any potential chance of our opponents clawing back a draw.
