The hard-working defender won us the penalty, which ultimately swung the game in our favour with Dexter Oliver converting from the spot.
That was after Leke Drake thought he’d scored the opener in the first few minutes, only for it to be ruled out for offside.
Teddie Lamb eventually saw us ahead on 53 minutes as he followed up to poke home the rebound from Ryan McAidoo’s initial shot.
The result sees us one step closer to the knockout qualification to earn a first win in European competition for the 2026/27 season.
And for Headley, he was delighted to help the team to victory in a dominant display from the young Blues.
“[Our performance was] top, I think all of the boys put everything in, everything we could and obviously we’ve got the fans in the background as well so it tops it off,” he said.
“We just have to keep sticking together as a team and I think we can keep winning games in the competition and with that togetherness I think we can go far in it.”
