Manchester City’s Elite Development Squad returned to the top of the Premier League 2 table with a 3-1 victory over Everton at the Academy Stadium.
Ben Knight opened the scoring early on with his second goal in as many games, however the hosts hit back at the beginning of the second half through Thomas Cannon.

Enzo Maresca’s side quickly regained the lead, as Cole Palmer found the top corner via a deflection, before Sam Edozie added a third to secure our first home win of 2021.
The victory extends our unbeaten run to seven games, and also moves Maresca’s men back to the top of the Premier League 2 table.
