Manchester City's Elite Development squad extended our lead at the top of the Premier League 2 table to eight points thanks to a 3-2 win over Liverpool.
It was the visitors who opened the scoring through Joe Hardy, but two quick-fire goals from Alex Robertson and Cole Palmer gave City the lead at the break.

Liverpool quickly hit back as Hardy added his and the Reds’ second inside the first minute of the second half.
However, after a hard-fought second half showing, City finally clinched victory two minutes from time when Felix Nmecha diverted in the winner from close range to secure all three points at the Academy Stadium.
