Always a staple fixture in the calendar, City welcomed United to the City Football Academy with both teams looking for their first win of the new season.
City’s campaign began with a trip to Leeds United where a 0-0 draw was played out.
But United’s trip to City was their first game of the season as they look to defend their Under-18 Premier League North title.

City looked the brightest after the opening 45 minutes with Matty Warhurst, Finlay Gorman and Reigan Heskey all given a chance to open the account for City. But strong goalkeeping by Will Murdock kept Oliver Reiss’s team at bay.
Two early second half strikes from Gabe Biacheri and Bendito Mantato saw United go 2-0 up before the hour mark.
City fought hard in an attempt to close the gap and potentially claw back a point but it wasn’t meant to be come the full-time whistle.
