Oliver Reiss’s side looked to secure our second win of the week after progressing through in the FA Youth Cup in midweek.
City’s Under-18s showed their confidence from the whistle, as Reigan Heskey converted a penalty that he won after being fouled by Evan Boulter to hand us the lead.
Despite some Forest pressure and Charlie Courtman nearly deflecting in a Cormac Daly cross, Tyrone Samba doubled our lead to give the debutant a first goal at Under-18 level.
MATCH REPORT | FOREST 0-4 CITY
Keethan Willows spilled the ball after a Dante Headley cross and it landed to Samba who tapped in from close range.
The visitors continued to put pressure on Forest and midway through the second-half, Matty Warhurst guided a shot from a Christian Dunbar-McDonald cross to increase the scoreline.
Heskey secured his brace in added time and scored his 15th goal of the campaign as he brought the ball inside before unleashing a curling effort to cap off the scoring.
City’s victory sees us move five points clear of Manchester United at the top of the table, who have a game in hand.
